You will need:
1 x Nonna’s Sponge Cake Mix
2 large Eggs or equivalent substitute
3/4 cups Sugar
Combine and heat the following in a saucepan until almost boiling:
1/2 tablespoon Butter
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
1/4 cup Water
1/4 cup Milk
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 180˚C.
2. Grease a single 20 cm cake pan and set aside.
3. Combine the sugar and eggs and beat until light and creamy.
4. Gradually add the packet of flour.
5. Lastly add the warm milk mixture.
6. Place the batter in the cake pan and bake for 20 minutes.
7. Remove the cake from the pan and allow to cool completely before decorating.
