Description
You will need: |
1 x Nonna’s Bread Mix |
1 teaspoon vinegar |
1 sachet instant yeast |
1 medium egg or equivalent substitute |
225 ml lukewarm water |
2 tablespoon Olive or other flavourless oil |
1 teaspoon sugar |
Method: |
1. Use a large cavity muffin pan or small loaf pan and brush it with oil. |
2. Bowl 1: Add the sugar to the lukewarm water and sprinkle the sachet yeast on top, set aside to foam slightly. |
Bowl 2: Sift flour mix and set aside. |
Bowl 3 : Whisk the egg, add the vinegar and oil and mix well. Lastly add the yeast mixture to it. |
4. Pour the liquid into the flour mixture, mix well with a wooden spoon until smooth (just a minute or two). |
5. Spoon batter into pan. Let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, (generally about 45 min). Preheat oven to 190°C. |
6. Bake for 20-22minutes. Remove bread from pan as it will go soggy. Cool on a wire rack. Brush the top of the bread with egg or olive oil before baking to have a more golden colour once baked. |
